I want to get out and about

Browse by subject

Being able to get out and about to meet with friends, go shopping or do the things that are of interest to us, is important and vital our physical and mental well being.

If you have a health problem or disability, or if you are becoming frailer as a result of getting older, then getting out and about can be a challenge.  Despite this, you are still entitled to lead an active life away from your home and there are ways and services you can access that can help you overcome problems with mobility and other difficulties.

In this section, you will find options and services to help you get out and about, with information on accessible public transport, travel concessions, scooter and wheelchair hire schemes, parking and much more.
