Our employees and volunteers provide housing and support and workshop and life skills training for young people, a children’s play group, respite for young carers, scouts cubs and beavers, football, table tennis, aikido, kung fu and many activities for senior citizens.
The facilities comprises 40 beds for young people aged 16 to 23, and equipment for hire include a gym, sports hall, meeting room, conference room, minibus, and Padworth, our camp site for young people’s groups.
We are an independent charity that is part of the worldwide YMCA movement and governed by a Board of locally based Trustees.
The centre runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Casual callers may drop in anytime between 9am-6pm.
