Reading Families’ Forum is delighted that Luke Clements, Professor of Law at Leeds University, will talk about Children in Need assessments, - what are the thresholds for assessment? and what should be covered in the assessment? - timescales for completion and provision of support. Also, he will be discussing the criteria for accessing short breaks and what direct payments can be
used for. For the afternoon session, we are very pleased that Brighter Futures for Children will be talking about local procedures for these assessments, applying for short breaks and direct payments.
