Downshire House provides long term residential care for eight adults (18-65) with Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviour and Mental Disorders.
The home has a spacious dining room and lounge area which leads out onto a large garden. The garden has a lawn area surrounded by flower beds and patio seating. There are seven single bedrooms, two upstairs bathrooms, one ground floor shower room and a large kitchen. A self-contained flat is available on the top floor. Residents also have access to a sensory room and activity room.
Activities
Various activities such as games, arts & crafts, karaoke and baking are available within the home. Residents can also participate in activities outside the home – activities our residents have previously taken part in including swimming, trampolining, drumming and college classes.
