Singing Cafes for older people run by Berkshire Maestros

Berkshire Maestros has recently been awarded funding from the Arts Council as part of their COVID Recovery Fund to run a ten week pilot scheme until December 2021 at no cost to the participants (the funding is solely for the purposes of reengaging older people in face to face musical activities).

Each session includes a 45 minute sing-a-long with a trained musician and qualified teacher followed by free tea/coffee with a biscuit and a chat.

Sessions are running in community locations right across Berkshire and wondered if you may be able to share and/or display promotional material with your residents, clinics, users and patients.

In Reading, weekly sessions are on Thursday morning taking place at Berkshire Maestros, 100 Stoneham Court, Cockney Hill, Reading, RG30 4EZ (the same site as Prospect School)

All sessions are free of charge during the pilot scheme which runs for another 7 weeks with the only exception date being October Half Term.
