Reading Voluntary Action (RVA) are offering a pre-booked face-to-face census support service by appointment at Reading Central Library or telephone appointment to help customers complete the census. It includes support for completing the census for customers over the phone if they don't have internet access.
The service will run until the first week of May.
The library environment is designed to be Covid-safe with a clear screen between the adviser and the customer.
General advice over the phone is also available - for example, on how to answer particular census questions - and they can generate access codes if a customer has lost or not received their census letter or for individuals that prefer to complete the census separately from the householder.
The census support centre at the library is open by appointment Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-3pm (closed over the Easter weekend 2nd - 5th April) and will operate until the first week of May.
Call the helpline on 0118 334 1095 for enquiries and appointment bookings Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
During the peak of census activity around the end of March the phone line will open on Saturdays 10am-3pm. Updates to our service are posted at rva.org.uk/census
As well as the RVA's Census Support Service, Communicare are also providing census support and advice at their centre in East Reading. They can be contacted on 0118 926 3941.
