Macular Disease Society - Reading & District Support Group

Macular conditions all affect the central part of the retina and cause loss of central vision. Macular disease only affects the macula and is the most common cause of sight loss in industrialised countries. Some other conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion can also damage the macula.

The Reading and District support group assists people with the condition by organising helpful event and social activities that offer opportunities to meet others and share experiences with those in similar situations.
