Lifeline Alarms

Forestcare is Bracknell Forest Council’s emergency response telecare service. We install and monitor a range of telecare and assistive technology services in people's homes. All demonstrations & installations are free. All you pay is a rental fee for the lifeline alarm unit and one pendant. You can pay by either monthly direct debit or quarterly invoice. Additional telecare can be rented for minimal expense. All calls come through to the control centre which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For more information or to book an appointment please contact us using the information provided below.

This service is provided to Reading Borough residents by Forestcare which is a part of Bracknell Forest Council.

You need a working phone line to have a lifeline alarm installed. However, if you don't have one of these, we can also supply a unit which works with a roaming sim card & does not require a working phone line.

  1. LIFELINE ALARM - The Lifeline alarm enables you to call for help should you experience a fall in your home or garden. A Lifeline consists of a base unit connected to your phone line and a pendant worn around your wrist or neck which can be pressed at anytime triggering a call through the base unit to our control centre so you can call for help.
You can connect a range of sensors to your base unit which means you can tailor the service to your specific needs.  From £4.35 per week.
  2. GSM LIFELINE ALARM - As above but works via a sim card so no phoneline is required. From £7.05 per week.
  3. CARERS PAGER -The CareAssist is a portable telecare alarm that can receive telecare alerts and display not only the type of sensor activated but also either the location of the sensor or the name of the person the sensor has been assigned to. This means that onsite carers can be quickly made aware of any incidents allowing them to provide a high level of care whilst maximising their efficiency. Device is monitored on-site and not by Forestcare. From £4.35 per week.
  4. POCKET PAL- A mobile lifeline the size of a key fob, a Pocket Pal provides coverage anywhere that has Mobile phone coverage. Device is  also GPS enabled, meaning user can be tracked & located in an emergency. From £7.05 per week.
  5. CARE CALLS- You can choose to have reassurance / reminder calls from one of the team at any time of the day (or night) you choose.
