Hours can be flexible depending on requirements. I have my own children aged 14 & 9 we do lots of activities and regular meet ups with other childminders with children of similar ages to children in my care. Age range 0 to 10 years.

our bathroom is upstairs only.

1: How does the setting identify children with additional needs or SEND?

Through constant observing and communication with parents and liaising with any other nurseries a child may attend.

2: How will I be informed / consulted about the ways in which my child is being supported?

working together and feedback will be given verbally and  written report termly.

3: How will the setting adapt the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for my child's needs?

All children I care for have their needs met individually depending on the area of development they are currently at.

 

4: What teaching strategies does the setting use for children with additional needs or learning difficulties?

currently have no children with additional needs. But able to adapt as required.

5: What additional support does the setting provide for children with additional needs or SEND?

As above

6: How will the setting monitor my child's progress and how will I be involved in this?

learning journals and observations are done for all children.

daily diary for communication between myself and the parents. 

Termly reports.

8: How accessible is the building for children with mobility difficulties / wheelchair users?

Access through front door however bathroom is upstairs only. 

Potty training and nappy changing can all be done downstairs. 

9: How will you support my child's transition to a new setting or school?

Communication between myself and new school and handing over learning journals for them to see where child is at developmentally.

10: How does the setting assess the overall effectiveness of its SEN provision and how can parents / carers take part in this evaluation?

Communication is the key and observing and making changes where possible depending on requirements.
