Family Holiday Charity

The Family Holiday Charity is the only national charity dedicated to providing British seaside breaks and day trips for families struggling with some of the toughest challenges life can bring, such as illness, bereavement or disability. They offer those families in difficult circumstancesa much needed break.

The majority of families that are helped have never been away before. A simple break from a stressful situation can create precious memories, strengthen bonds and develop a new sense of optimism.

Applications are made via their online system by professionals working with families. If you are a family wishing to make an application, please approach someone who works with your family, such as a teacher, social worker or health visitor and ask them to refer you.

Referral Details

All the families we help are referred by someone working with them in a supporting role, such as a teacher, social worker or health visitor. This ensures we assist those who most need our help and means the families get the support they need to prepare for their break.

We cannot accept direct requests from families. But if you would like to make an application on behalf of a family, or simply learn more about the work we do, you’ll find all you need to know by clicking on the link. https://www.familyholidayassociation.org.uk/apply-for-a-break/
