Reading Avanti Freewheelers ~ Community Cycling Club

Avanti Freewheelers ~  Avanti Cycling "Freewheelers" session.

Take place at:

  • Coronation Square
  • every Thursday, 5-7pm
  • Also run at Weller Centre and South Reading Community Hub

Any young person aged 12-16 years old can join in the fun weekly rides and activities.

If you know a young person who might like to take part, please ask their parent/guardian to email to find out more.

"A Reading club for juniors wanting to learn to ride, improve their riding skills, try a new cycling discipline or want to take their riding to a new and exciting level. It’s all about having fun adventures under the guidance of qualified professionals."


FREE cycling support sessions

 Free courses on offer include:

  • Family Cycle: These sessions give you some useful skills such as shepherding less experienced riders when cycling in traffic
  • Adult Training: Individual and group sessions for adults wanting to gain confidence riding a bike – either for commuting, exercise or just for fun
  • Bike Maintenance: Learn the basics of how to keep your bike on the road. Covering a full bike check; repairing punctures; adjusting brakes and gears
