Parity - Services for Children & Young People with Multiple Disabilities
Parity for Disability is an established, award-winning local charity providing specialist services for children, young people and adults with multiple disabilities.
Easter & Summer Activity Scheme - For ages 12+ based in Fleet, Hampshire
At Parity's Easter and Summer Activity Schemes the emphasis is on fun. Young peopls with multiple disabilities age 12 and up spend the holidays doing the things others mught take for granted. They meet old friends and make new ones, try new activities and pursue interests. Families can take a break knowing that their loved ones' needs are being met.
Activities at the base include art and craft, music, cooking, games, sensory activites, computers, hair and beauty sessions, wheelchair dancing and much more...we also go off site for certain activities.
Music Therapy - All ages
The Music therapy service operates both on site and in homes, schools and other settings.
In music therapy, spontaneous, interactive music making is used as a way of communicating. People are encouraged to experiment with accessible percussion intruments, and to use their voices. The music therapist establishes contact musically, by responding to and supporting their sounds.
