StrikeUp Theatre Company - Starting April 29th 2021

Reading-based StrikeUp Theatre Company have some funded spaces available for people to take part in a project to celebrate this year's 900th anniversary of Reading Abbey.

The project is a 10-week performance poetry course, leading up to the professional filming, editing and broadcast of an epic digital poem, imagining life in Reading in 1121, compared with today.

It will run on Thursday evenings from 8pm to 10pm, from Thursday next week, April 29, until July 8.

The first five workshops will be online, with the rest held at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.

The course is suitable for anyone living in Reading aged 16 and above. Strike Up are particularly keen to hear from people who have experienced barriers engaging with arts, culture or heritage.

Get in touch by next Monday, April 26, if you would like to take part in the course, by emailing
