Chiltern Centre - Supporting Young Adults with Disabilities

The Chiltern Centre is a wonderful purpose-built care home in Henley on Thames offering a range of services to young people (aged 16 – 30) with learning disabilities (often alongside physical disabilities and/or complex medical needs) that empower them to live life to the full . A person- centred approach promoting choice, positive self-image and individual identity drives everything we do.

The Centre is perfectly adapted to meet the needs of the young people in our care with facilities including a recently upgraded multi-sensory room, living and dining areas, garden, adapted bathrooms and 4 bedrooms.

We do not only spend time in the Centre itself though, but also get out and about giving our young people the opportunity to enjoy themselves, learn new skills and integrate more fully into the local community by attending local events, visiting local attractions, using local transport and local facilities .

Our flexible services are designed to meet the needs of the young people we support, and their families by providing:

  • Day care
  • Short break overnight care
  • Buddies Group (our youth group)
