Family Matters

Family Matters

Supporting the families and friends of people sent to prison through difficult times.

We can help anyone who is being affected by someone they care about going to prison or continuing to commit serious offences.

This could be a partner, child, parent, other family members or a close friend who has a significant relationship with the person.

People in this situation have their own needs and problems and should be offered help in their own right.  If relationships are maintained in a positive way, this can be a key factor supporting the person they care about desist from crime in the future.

We can offer:

  • practical advice
  • Information about the Prison system and Probation Services
  • Emotional Support
  • Help to maintain relationships and keep in touch
  • Support to solve problems and access other services
  • Support to lone parents bringing up children in these circumstances with a focus on helping the children as well.

We work across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes.
