Social Interaction Group for Children and Young People

A new 6 week course for 2021 for young people in mainstream education, aged 8 -16 (up to school year 6, and school years 7-11), who either already have a diagnosis of Autism and/or ADHD or are on the Berkshire CAMHS waiting list for assessment.

only children who are registered with a GP surgery that is part of the Berkshire West NHS CCG will be able to access this course. To check your surgery please click here


To develop the confidence and emotional well being of young people through meeting regularly with peers and exploring the social world together. The course will focus on issues including knowing ourselves, friendships, self-esteem, independence and self advocacy.

Upcoming Courses:

Junior Group: Aged 8-11 (Up to School Year 6)A six week face-to-face course on Mondays after school 4:30pm – 6:30pm: 13th Sept – 18th Oct Application deadline is the 22nd August 2021

Senior Group: Aged 11-16 (School Years 7-11)A six week face-to-face course on Mondays after school 4:30pm – 6:30pm: 1st Nov to 6th DecApplication deadline is the 17th October – please note we are expecting this course to be oversubscribed.

We recommend that parents/carers have attended or attend an Autism and/or ADHD pre or post assessment workshop or course in order for the young person and the family to have the opportunity to learn together.

Free for children and young people registered at a Berkshire West NHS GP Surgery. If the group decide on any additional activities there will a small cost charged.
