Green Health Thames Valley - Health Wellbeing & Horticultural Therapy

Green Health Thames Valley provides support for clients with mental health difficulties through a tailored programme of horticulture-based programmes and activities – broadly described as horticultural therapy

Our Horticultural Therapist has over 20 years experience of using the horticulture and gardening to help improve health and wellbeing. Service users can start with one to one sessions and then progress to small groups when they are comfortable.

We hold regular workshops lead by qualified counsellors experienced in supporting people with mental health conditions and plan regular trips out.

In wet weather we use indoor spaces and our large polytunnel.

We aim to support service users in their journey to better health and wellbeing offering encouragement, support, friendship and a sense of purpose, belonging and fun in our safe and green garden in South Reading,

You are welcome to bring along a friend, carer or family member to the first visit. Please just let us know that you will be bringing them along. You can also bring a health professional for your first visit.

We ask people to join us for two sessions a week. This will normally last for 2 hours each.

You can ask your health worker to refer you or you can refer yourself.

Our operating times are:

Tuesday 10.00-12.00 and 13.00-15.00

Thursday 10.00-12.00 and 13.00-15.00
