Elevate are an impartial team within Brighter Futures for Children who are wholly owned and independent services that operate on behalf of Reading Borough Council. For most young people, the world beyond school or college is becoming increasingly an unknown and varied map. The future careers for young people are more complex than ever, the employment market and apprenticeships is more challenging than it has ever been. Supporting young people to make well informed choices has never been more important and we aim to do just that. We support young people reach their goals and fulfil their potential with accessing education, employment and training. Our professionally qualified career coaches offer impartial careers information, advice and guidance to support you with:
- Exploring career ideas and making career choices
- Further education options
- Choosing options at 16 and 18
- Finding a learning or training course
- Search and apply for jobs or apprenticeships
- Re-engagement activities eg work experience and volunteering
- Support with transition to further education
- Developing CV and improving interview skills
- Supported Internships options
- Higher education
