Holiday Activity and Food Camps - Reading Borough Council

Dear Parent/Guardian,


We hope you’re safe and well. Some fantastic news for you and your family for this Christmas break. Children in receipt of benefit related free school meals will be entitled to 4 half days at our multi-activity holiday schemes.


As part of your entitlement, please book up to 4 (4 hours per day) days at one of our completely free venues using the voucher codes provided by your local authority. Please ensure to make us aware of any allergy/dietary requirements, as your child will be served a free, nutritious meal.


They will have the opportunity to play with friends in a safe enjoyable manner. We offer arts and crafts, board games, karaoke, drama and every single sport you can think of such as football, cricket, basketball, tennis, hockey and much more.

Please only book onto these sessions if you are entitled to free school meals. This will be checked with your child's school and Reading Council, so please ensure your child is eligible.

Is there a charge for
using this service?
This provision is council funded for children entitled to benefit related free school meals* who attend a Reading Borough school. Benefit related free school meals For example, if you receive Universal Credits, Income Support etc, the council will contact you to let you know your entitlement. This scheme does not cover children who receive free school meals based on their year group alone.
