Firtree - The Reading Retirement Club - Covid 19 response

Firtree have been keeping in touch with their members and with updates on activities they can offer online.

FIRTREE stands for: Friends in Retirement Taking Recreation, Education and Exercise.

The club's aims are to stimulate the mind and body by offering a wide choice of activities. Members can become leaders of the activities but professional instructors are used for certain specialised activities. Alongside the weekly activities, outings to places of interest and to the theatre are arranged, as well as annual holidays. The emphasis throughout is for friendship and fun.

There are different activities across the week including regular speakers, quizzes, table tennis, bowls, scrabble, whist and a movement to music group.

Entry to the church is via Church End Lane and and the car park.

The Wednesday meetings are still held at the YMCA, 34 Parkside Road, Reading, RG30 2DD.
