Providing Day Activities for Learning Disabled Adults and Transition Students (aged 16+). Sessions are held in various Community Venues around West Berkshire. Activities covered are Computer Skills, Art, Craft, Bowling, Cooking, Music, Yoga, Communication Games (including Makaton) and sometimes Swimming, Shopping or Days Out to Interesting Places in the countryside or near the sea.

 To give you more information regarding our different daily activities, please see below our usual timetable and the venues that we hold them in.
 
>Monday (AM) - Computers or Community Access Group

Wednesday (All day) - Swimming (Term time) or Day trips
(School holidays)
> (Swimming takes place at Coral Reef, Bracknell and
Day trips are various locations) NB Coral Reef currently closed for refurbishment. We attend Windsor or Didcot pools. Assembly Point is Thatcham House, RG19 4PX
>
>Thursday (AM) - Cooking or Craft
>Thursday (PM) - Gentle Walking Group or Communication games followed by Yoga
exercises for all.
> (Based at Brimpton Village Hall, Brimpton). RG7 4 ST

>Friday (AM) -
Cooking or Art or Photography
>Friday (PM) – Music, Percussion and Singing
> (Based at St Nicolas Church Hall,
Newbury) RG14 5HG

>Please note - our Community Access Groups include swimming,
bowling, golf, shopping, library, walks, feed the ducks etc.

>Alongside all of these activities, we are able to offer individuals
the opportunity to use a laptop or iPad to work independently.

Notes

This is the Venue for Computer Skills, Bowling, Shopping and the main office of the company.  Other venues used are St. Nicolas Hall in Newbury, Brimpton Village Hall, and for Swimming- Coral Reef in Bracknell.

We request a referral to enable us to tailor the services and sessions to the service user. A try-out session is also recommended as we like to ensure that the service user is happy to attend their chosen sessions. More information will be given as part of the initial communication with the service user or representative.

Other notes

We endeavour to match a person with an activity (or activities) and to encourage their skills in any way, whether through an activity or with general life skills. Everyone is given a chance to try out something with us before we all consider the possibilites of further sessions.
