Individual Placement and Support (IPS)

Supports people with severe mental health difficulties to get into paid employment. It involves intensive, individual support, a rapid job search followed by placement in paid employment, and time-unlimited in-work support for both the employee and the employer.

Criteria:

-          For anyone 18+

-          You need to be open to BHFT

-          You need to unemployed

-          You need to be suffering from a serious mental illness

-          You need to be motivated to get into a paid job

They also offer retention support – if you are already in work and your job is under threat or you are being called to a meeting with HR or your manager. With you consent, IPS can support you to retain your job.
