Museum Of English Rural Life (MERL)

Museum re-opening from 18th May 2021, visit website for details of restrictions.

Lots of activities for children of all ages around the Museum and in the garden, including trails, brass rubbing, dressing up and games. Family workshops during the school holidays and a toddler session every Friday during term time. Opening times. The Museum: Tuesday to Friday: 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 5pm, on last Thursday of the month 9am to 9pm (vivt website for more details). The Reading Room: Monday: 10am to 5pm (restricted service) Tuesday to Friday: 9am to 5pm Note:

The Museum and Reading Room are closed on Bank Holidays, between Christmas and New Year, at Easter and on University closure dates. Admission free, but donations welcome.
