The Cressingham LEGO CLUB
The Lego club will meet on one Sunday a month at The Cressingham Short Break Centre. Spaces will be limited to 8 young people per session aged between 8 – 18 years old; Places allocated on a first come first serve basis. Each session will have some free play and structured activities to encourage the children/young people to use their imagination and learn to work as a team on some of the projects.
*Important* - Parent Carers Must inform Cressingham if their child/children cannot attend. The space can then be reallocated.
The Aims: To have fun and encourage the development of the child’s skills through play. Skills such as –
• Creativity
• Problem Solving
• 3D thinking
• Teamwork
• Critical and Lateral Thinking
• Understanding of concepts such as size, shape, order and pattern
• Improved Concentration
Eligibility:
- Have a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), which includes information to evidence the child/ young person cannot access mainstream activities through Universal Services published on the Local Offer
How to apply
Please complete the attached form and email it to the Short Breaks Coordinator short.breaks@brighterfuturesforchildren.org at least ONE WEEK before the session you wish to book on. You will then be contacted to confirm if you have a place. Due to the size of the groups and varying support needs we must ensure that it is an appropriate setting for your child.
Capacity
8 spaces per session
Parental contribution of £10 to be paid when attending the session.
What should I bring with me?
Children are requested NOT to bring any of their own Lego, as this may get mixed up with the club's Lego.
Please bring a packed lunch for your child.
Dates & times
The sessions will run from 10am – 1pm
COVID 19 precautions
All equipment will be sterilised before and after the sessions.
Staff will wear face masks at all times.
If your child is exhibiting and signs of COVID please do not bring them in and contact us to cancel your place using the following contact details:
