Berkshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers
The Berkshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers is an enthusiastic group of approximately 60 members, ranging from beginners through to experienced.
The aims of the Guild are: to encourage and maintain integrity and excellence of craftsmanship; to foster a sense of beauty of texture, colour and design; to provide opportunities for the exchange of information, and for demonstration and presentations. The Guild meets on the third Saturday of the month for talks and demonstrations often given by professional craft workers. Members are encouraged to show their work.
There is an extensive library of craft related literature and a range of equipment for hire. Courses, visits and workshops are also arranged on a variety of topics such as braid making, horsehair weaving and felting.
