Registered Charity offering a Community hall within our recently restored garden. We have a small oasis hidden away in the centre of Reading and you will be amazed by our hall and garden.
We have a large (24 x 41ft) Community Hall which is set within our recently restored Gardens for all to enjoy.
he hall holds around 100 people for a standing reception. The hall is on one level throughout making it fully accessible, but regrettably at this stage wheelchair users cannot access through the doors. It is non-smoking throughout, the hall is licensed for entertainment (Performing Right Society) but does not hold an alcohol licence (you can serve alcohol but you cannot sell it) or have a bar. Outside bars can be brought in as well as a disco or other entertainment if required or even the chippy van if you fancy doing something different for your guest.
The professionally furbished kitchen has direct access to the hall and is equipped with an oven, urn, freezer, fridge, microwave, adequate sinks and preparation tables. There are also 50 cups, saucers and side plates, 5 jugs for juice and approximately 50 knives, forks and teaspoons. The hirer must provide all other crockery, cutlery utensils and wine glasses and catering services. The staging is available for no extra fee although this can be removed if needed. This can be used for receptions, plays, etc or to raise speakers or a band. There is also a projector and screen available.
The Hall and Garden offers privacy for any group wanting to use our facilities, with secure parking for 2 cars in the weekday daytime and 25 cars during the evening and at weekends.
