CARESSKIDS ~ Vanessa Sevok
Hi, I'm Vanessa and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live with my husband, daughters and two pet dogs. My pets are friendly, clean and upto date on their vaccines and live outdoors in their kennel.I provide a healthy, clean, safe, enjoyable and full of fun-filled activities for your little ones to enjoy in a way so that their little busy bodies and minds are engaged in learning through play. I look after all the children in my care as my own and I make sure all their indiviual needs are met. I do provide meals snacks and drinks. I also provide after school care for children from Christ the King School. My latest Ofsted report was a MET, when I did not have any children on board,as I was on extended maternity leave with an open registration hence missed updating my first aid certicate. If you read through my report there is nothing drastically displeasing about me. Please feel free to contact me for any further information.

Description
I live in a family home, with my husband and children. We have two pet dogs who are up to date on their vaccines and are friendly in nature. I provide children with a home like environment, clean and safe surrounding, home cooked meals and side by side cater to each and every child's educational and personal needs whilst keeping fun the core of everything. I make sure all the children in my care are given equal opportunities to grow and thrive within the guidelines of EYFS. Where ever possible I am keen to make arrangements to cater for children with special needs to the best of my ability.
1: How does the setting identify children with additional needs or SEND?
I follow the EYFS guidelines, where it tells me where a child is suppose to be at age wise. If do find a child has not met his or her targets I will have a chat with parents and contact appropriate support groups.
2: How will I be informed / consulted about the ways in which my child is being supported?
On your child's progress meetings, which takes places quarterly. May be sometimes on collecting and picking up your child I may update you or may note it down for you in your child's daily dairy.
3: How will the setting adapt the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for my child's needs?
On given information from support group or professional about what needs to be done to support children with special educational needs I will make required changes to accommodate and support child's learning and development and help child achieve their milestones, as well as make note of any changes in symptoms and make observations.
4: What teaching strategies does the setting use for children with additional needs or learning difficulties?
I will incorporate, the given information and advice given to me by professionals and parents in the child's learning and care.
5: What additional support does the setting provide for children with additional needs or SEND?
I would be happy to provide additional support, if it would be ideal for my setting to support child/ children with SEN and SEND.
6: How will the setting monitor my child's progress and how will I be involved in this?
I make observation and assessments to record child's progress. Work in patnership with parents and other professionals.
7: How do you ensure children with additional needs or SEND can be included in the same activities as other children, including trips?
Incorporating ideas into activities on the advice and information of parents and professionals. Sometimes may ask parents to accompany us on day trips.
8: How accessible is the building for children with mobility difficulties / wheelchair users?
No wheelchair access.
9: How will you support my child's transition to a new setting or school?
Get in touch with the child new setting, builds child's confidence, make child more independent to carry out his own personal task like putting coat on, recognising name , make child familiar with surrounding etc
10: How does the setting assess the overall effectiveness of its SEN provision and how can parents / carers take part in this evaluation?
Parents and carers can visit and discuss policy and procedures with childminder, visit the setting, evaluate the progress of their child in her setting, parents can rate the setting ,leave a review or complaint to Ofsted .
