Beam Wellbeing - Drawing & Talking Practitioner

Beam Wellbeing

Welcome to Beam Wellbeing. I am a qualified Advanced Drawing and Talking practitioner delivering this CAMHS-recognised early intervention within local schools in and around the Caversham area of Reading.

Designed to support children and young people in need of support with their mental health for a wide variety of reasons, it is a gentle, child-led intervention that takes place over 12 consecutive weeks for half an hour a week. During this time they are invited to draw and then talk using story-telling and fantasy language about their pictures. This helps to reframe past experiences and trauma and to help overcome difficult emotions.

It is suitable for children aged 5 years+ who may show signs of anxiety, stress, depression and low self-esteem.

It is also suitable for children who have suffered loss, grief or emotion pain due to changes in the family home, bereavement or tough transitions.

I work in the Reading area, based in Caversham and deliver in schools during the school day.

I am fully insured and DBS checked.
