Engage Befriending
Engage Befriending brings together those who are isolated or lonely with a volunteer befriender. We befriend people who are over 55 years old and live in the Reading area. Our volunteers will visit once a week or fortnight. It may be for just a cuppa and a chat, a short walk, out for a coffee or to visit a place of interest nearby.
All our volunteers complete training, have a DBS check and are asked to provide references.
For those aged between 26 and 54 years who are feeling isolated and vulnerable, our sister programme Engage Wellbeing may be able to help you. For details, please call 0118 956 7000.
