Aurora Family CIC

Aurora Family CIC is an education support provision and community enterprise consisting of an outdoor learning space, a community coffee shop and in indoor multi function media learning suite.  We provide mentoring services, support for young people with additional needs and a community space which can be hired. We are also an OFSTED registered childcare service and we run creative workshops and holiday clubs for kids.

Our coffee shop is open from Monday- Friday 9-5 and Saturday 12-5 we run a rolling programme of activities in our basement for children and adults including toddler group, support groups, self defense and capoeira. Our aim is to provide a neutral, non judgemental environment to support our community and enrich people's lives.We also have an outdoor learning base on the outskirts of Reading.

We are partnered with other local organisations to ensure that we can provide divergent expereinces for young people to raise their confidence and uncover tehir hidden strengths. Our Partners incluse Virtu Academy (football coaching) and Reading school of martial Arts (Kung fu/self defense coaching). Our outdoor learning base is provided by Lottie Crocker Horses allowing us to offer equine assisted learning opportunities. 


Our staff are over seen by qualified educators with specialisms in music, outdoor learning and SEN.

our costs are priced to ensure we can fairly pay our staff for their time. As we are OFSTED registered we are now able to accept childcare vouchers for our holiday clubs.

We work with young people in a variety of environments and we cater for young people with additional needs.

We offer specific support to young people who are in care, including structured activity based supported family time sessions.

Our community based activities are creative and incorporate music, craft and life skills, we aim to cater for all ages and be an inclusive provider who promote and celebrate diversity.
