School Attendance (Education Welfare)
School attendance Officers work within the Child Action Teams (CATs) to help children and young people and their families to maintain and improve attendance, in partnership with schools.
They also manage the licensing of children in employment and entertainment. Children in employment - Brighter Futures For Children
The team works with school age children and young people aged between 4 and 16 years and their families. This includes children and young people of school age who have special educational needs or a disability.
