It has now been 8 years since the Royal Berkshire Hospital launched a twice yearly Patient Partnership Standing Conference. The conference is chaired by Caroline Ainslie, Executive Director of Nursing and includes a question and answer session from Steve McManus, Chief Executive Officer.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together our staff and community groups, to engage with people of all ages, race and religions, to showcase our work and to listen and act on suggestions from our local community.

Venue: Trust Education Centre, Lecture Theatre 1.

We have an interesting agenda planned which includes a presentation by Mandy Barter, CEO and Co-Founder of My Cancer My Choices and a presentation by Bob Simmonds, Head of Spiritual Healthcare, about a new initiative called Compassionate Companions.

We are keen to further enhance our patient and public involvement strategy and we firmly believe that working hand in hand with our community will bring enormous benefits to us all.
