AgeUK Reading's Pop-in Summer Programme

We meet every Thursday morning between 10 and 12 at the Hexagon Cafe for tea/coffee and informal socialising. Some weeks we have a speaker or other activity. There's no need to book- just pop in!

Programme for Summer 2019

  • 6th June Bingo - £1 for 1 board or £2 for 2
  • 20th June Sue Stovell from British Red Cross – Basic First Aid for older people. This session will last for 2 hours from 10.30 -12.30
  • 4th July Guided walk round Reading with Terry Dixon (Terry’s walkabouts) 10.00 -12.00. £5 per person – advance booking required Our coffee morning will be held as usual in the Hexagon for those who do not wish to join in the walk
  • 18th July John Whitehead from History of Reading Society – History of transport in Reading including the trolley buses
  • 8th August Games morning – Board games, cards, skittles, boccia
  • 22nd August Dementia Awareness session with Matt Taylor CEO of Age UK Reading

On the last Thursday of every month we have a raffle and quiz 30th May, 27th June, 25th July and 29th August
