Spring 2023 - Covid 19 vaccine booster
People aged 75 years and older, residents in care homes for older people, and those aged 5 years and over with a weakened immune system will be offered a booster of coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine this spring.
People who look after a family or friend who only had one Covid 19 vaccination or not had any, will also be able to get the vaccine to help protect those they look after.
The offer also applies to paid care workers or personal assistants.
The Spring 2023 Covid 19 vaccine booster runs until 30 June 2023.
Those who are eligible will be invited for a booster, their GP may offer the vaccine or people can book using the NHS app NHS App and your NHS account - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
In Reading, Reading Voluntary Action (RVA) are supporting residents who are eligible to access the Covid 19 vaccine. Call the RVA helpline on 0118 334 1091 to speak to someone for extra assistance, including booking an appointment or for translation support.
