Coronavirus

Due to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, some of the organisations listed on here are still in the process of posting service updates. Many phone lines and websites are still available, but some contact details have changed. Try the organisation's own website if you're having difficulty getting through.

Mindfulness at RISC - Depression Xpression

With the help of a Reading Community Grant from RVA, we are resuming our monthly support meetings at RISC starting on Monday 14th September 2020 at 7.30pm.

Social distancing and safety measures will be in place to minimise the risks from Covid-19 – full details of these can be viewed here. Numbers will be limited to a maximum of 20 people, so booking is essential. As always, the meeting is completely free of charge and everyone is welcome. We aim to provide a safe and confidential environment where everyone is listened to and treated with respect.

For our first meeting, we welcome the return of Lynne Wilkes, who has been our guest speaker on several occasions – both online and in real life. Lynne is a Breathworks Accredited mindfulness teacher who teaches children, young people and adults. She will lead us in some short mindfulness exercises and general discussion about  mental wellbeing.

Please book your free place through Eventbrite here

For anyone unable to attend the meetings at RISC, we will still be hosting our online Zoom meetings every Monday evening at 7.00pm. Our online meetings are free to join, everyone is welcome, and no booking is required. Please join our Facebook support group for details of how to access these meetings.
