What is social prescribing and is it for you?

Social Prescribing service to work with GP surgeries across Reading. Social Prescribing might be for you if you are:

  • Feeling lonely or looking for more social contact.
  • Wanting to improve your physical health through exercise or healthy eating.
  • Lacking confidence.
  • Needing some practical support and information to improve your situation, for example, help with form filling, or information and guidance about benefits or finances.

Reading Voluntary Action has recently expanded its Social Prescribing service to work with GP surgeries across Reading. 

Social Prescribing Link Workers can help you to identify what matters to you and connect you with activities and support that might make a difference.
