The Autism Group - New Dungeons and Dragons Activity

Welcome to The Autism Group, a Maidenhead based charity committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of young people on the spectrum, their parents and carers.

We offer a warm, well informed response to the needs of young people on the autistic spectrum, their parents, carers and wider community through our special interest clubsworkshops and parent support services .

Dungeons and Dragons is particularly suited to autistic players as it is very structured and there are lots of rules. We're delighted to be including it in more of our Clubs after the first group we started at Fusion Club which has proved to be a huge success.

Fusion Club, for children age 13 upwards, will also offer a range of activities the young people themselves have told us they enjoy such as off-line video gaming, drawing, Lego and board games from the classics such as chess to more modern games such as Telestrations.

Clubs

Clubs are held on Saturdays in central Maidenhead, for ages 9 to 25 based on various special interests and an on-line group for adults up to the age of 30.

Our Special Interest Clubs are built around topics that young people told us they enjoy. You can find clubs offering  Arts and Crafts, Console Gaming, Tabletop roleplaying games, Pokemon, Lego and  more. Run by experienced and DBS checked staff and volunteers, sessions run primarily on Saturdays throughout the year in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

We cater for young people aged between 9 and 30 who have a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum condition and are typically of mainstream ability, but need support to succeed in social situations. If you are interested in applying for a place at one of our clubs contact ruth@theautismgroup.org.uk   or complete a registration form.

Places are limited - register via our website application form and remember to mention an interest in Dungeons and Dragons: https://www.theautismgroup.org.uk/clubs/register-for-clubs/
